They start off the canon bitterly estranged! They disparage each other but still deeply respect each other and care so much! Snorpy rushes in to keep Floofty dying to their own research, which prompts another fight where Snorpy wants them to value their life and they insult him over it! Then they have to admit more privately that they didn't mean any insult they said and they're a coward! They're both gutted if the other dies, with Floofty specifically having to wrench themself away from being pretty much suicidal over it and Snorpy mourning about how they were never able to finish mending their relationship and wanting to try to continue their research... Also just as an aside, pretty sure it's implied that Snorpy's at least tried to put a tracker on them, lmao. Yes they are weird goofy Muppet people but good lord do I want so many fanworks for them.

Canon-Specific DNWs

Normalized incest (it's fine if someone or a few people know about it and still support them! but characters, including these two, being 100% breezy and cool with the concept of incest/incest being normalized in the world, something people treat as just reasonable and like it'd be weird to not be okay about it, is what I'd like to avoid here)

The names characters call one another! Floofty usually seems to call Snorpy by his full name, Snorpington, but sometimes does call him Snorpy; Snorpy always calls Floofty just by Floofty... does Floofty have a longer name he sometimes busts out? Neither seems the type to use pet names or endearments for various reasons (Floofty is a bit too stiff and Snorpy seems too hesitant to use them AND to just fall apart if they're used for him)... Have they ever called one another dear(est) sibling/brother or anything like that? If in or heading towards an illicit sort of relationship, are they more or less likely to call one another sibling/brother?
Trans headcanons; I want Floofty to stay nonbinary and they/them like in canon, but I am open to Snorpy being a trans man, a trans woman, or some kind of nonbinary himself! I'm also open to trans headcanons for the other characters! Feel free to do whatever. And of course trans headcanons aren't obligatory!

For Baxter/Sir Pentious, THERE IS SO MUCH HERE. Their history together! How they were lab partners, maybe even for decades, they seemed to be friends -- and not just friends, but so close that Baxter talked about him and Pentious becoming Overlords together like he really saw them as an inseparable unit back then! I love if their "divorce"/"break-up" happened before either of them ever even admitting to having feelings for or wanting the other, maybe even to themselves. I also love them, post-canon, cautiously reconnecting while still having a whole ton of unresolved feelings and pain over what happened, maybe having to argue it out a bit before they can start over, maybe not! I just love the implications that it hurt them both a lot when Pentious left (how he was crying in the rain!! how Baxter stopped using his name and solely called him "the snake" after that, like he couldn't handle otherwise...) and imagining how they might need to come to understand the other's POV and feelings, and them slipping back into an easy partnership when all's said and done...

...and then maybe just add Cherri Bomb to all of that too! I love Cherri and Pentious's relationship, how it's both cute/sweet now but they also still miss the fighting and might have equal amounts of fun on a dinner-and-a-movie date and a "let's battle for old time's sake!" date... I also could really love Baxter and Cherri bonding over chemistry, Cherri teasing him, Baxter coming to find her fun and exciting, hell, even how much they both care about Pentious! I love the idea of them both teaming up to tease him, too. And how his type seems to be "someone a little wild, with freckles, who's kind of mean to him sometimes." But I love Baxter and Cherri also coming to really like each other, too, I really do! I can get behind the three of them being the sort of poly with all of them into each other, or a poly V where Baxter and Cherri are besties or FWB but both in love with Pentious.

The idea that Baxter and Pentious both 100% blame the other for how their ~~break-up~~ fight went down and think the other just doesn't care and are both telling themselves that THEY don't care at all either!!!
How Baxter just stopped calling Pentious anything other than "snake" after he left.
That either Baxter made the Egg Boiz or they both worked together to do so!!
How easily and naturally they both started working together immediately, as well as the little moments of apparent fondness Baxter still showed, despite their fraught history.
Baxter still studying redemption (without necessarily wanting to be redeemed, really).
The idea that Baxter might still not be 100% sure that redemption is possible, not until whatever happened with Pentious is proven to be replicable!
I prefer Baxter's and Cherri's sins not involving serial killing (or, in Baxter's case, human experimentation on anyone who didn't agree to it).
What Vivzie said about Baxter drowning when the ship he was on sank in the middle of the ocean; the cruel irony of him becoming a deep sea anglerfish after that amuses me.

In an OT3 situation specifically, I also love two of the three ganging up on the third... Cherri and Baxter double-teaming Pentious seems the most likely, but I could love any other combination a whole lot!
I like the headcanon that Baxter is from Spain, and is therefore yet another character who knows Spanish, tbh.
NAME STUFF! Names, nicknames, pet names, and other methods of calling each other! I love the idea that Baxter switched to ONLY calling Pentious "the snake" after he left because it was emotionally easier than using his name, it allowed him to fake some distance... Did he ever call him Pen? Might he call him that again? The shift between what characters call each other intrigues me a lot. I also love how Pentious calls Cherri Bomb both Cherri and Miss Bomb! That's very cute. And would any of them use any cute nicknames/pet names? Cherri seems to use "dork" and "nerd" affectionately, and Pentious throws around "dear" and "my dear" a whole lot; what else might they say? Would Baxter ever deploy something like that?
Trans headcanons! I especially love Baxter as a trans man, but am totally open to him being nonbinary (esp if he's like the "I ~~have a job~~ am a bioscientist in Hell so idrc about that rn" meme). I'm open to Pentious and Cherri being anything -- trans man, trans woman, nonbinary, for either or both of them -- though if you include Cherri I do have a slight preference for her being a trans woman or nonbinary! I am also open to casual trans headcanons about other characters. And of course trans headcanons aren't obligatory!

NGL I love this as a very bad idea thing on Baxter's part. Potentially some Vees plot to get back at him, but either way, Valentino getting it into his head to seduce and maybe romance Baxter, and Baxter thinking he can avoid it, and/or that he can handle it even if they DO mess around some, because he definitely knows better than to let Val, say, get him drugged/aphrodesiac'd or in front of a camera... And maybe he sticks to that or maybe he ends up giving in, but there is definitely something going on there and Val isn't actually forcing anything; I specifically love the idea of Baxter at least partly getting himself into this mess even while telling himself he's totally got this under control, that if he ever ends up, for example, drugged, he's letting Val do it! Them developing a friendship, maybe dating a little, probably having sex a little, sometimes even having cute moments, but it still being a dangerous situation for Baxter because Valentino is still Valentino... They could be a LOT of fun.

The slow and almost unavoidable slide from near-strangers (except one of them is one of the big bosses at the other's company) to that addiction to the sex and drugs that might not even be the only thing that's trapping Baxter, only it wasn't even unavoidable because both Baxter and any audience could at least kind of see the warning lights blaring regularly, they were just ignored...
Little moments where Val could force or drug Baxter into something but just doesn't, maybe even outright respects his preferences on things like where and how to be touched.
Val having a honeymoon period in early relationships where he really is enamored/a little in love and at least mostly treats them well.
Baxter knowing something is a terrible idea and either telling himself of course he'll never allow that and then eventually doing it anyway... or just doing it anyway! Outright!
Baxter being creeped out at first by how flirty and suggestive Val can be...

They are literally counterparts. They are practically opposites but are also Part Of The Same Guy. Cold seems completely detached and uncaring but can also get fascinated and oddly intense, and seems to want to feel even while advising the others to just not feel; Paranoid seems like a complete scaredy cat but shows a spine of steel at times and seems like he's a bit nuts but tends to be right about everything (at least in the Construct). I absolutely love their dynamic in basically any variation of Chapter III: The Wraith, especially the conversation about "why pain is bad" but also Cold helping Paranoid push the body into the bottomless pit if you decide to go that route. I also love how Paranoid, in Chapter III: The Apotheosis, can land on logic that sounds exactly like things Cold might say... as well as the somewhat softer side of Cold that can be shown in the Adversary version of Chapter III: The Fury. I think if these two caught each others' attention they could be drawn to each other and get pretty intense about it!

Turning the voices human, giving the voices human-looking forms, giving them human forms but with wings and maybe claws, giving them full-on bird person forms, giving them forms that look more like... whatever that was in The Princess and the Dragon...

Canon-Specific Likes

The sheer amount of control these two both seem to have over themselves...
...and, alternately, the idea that each might actually be able to make the other come apart. Maybe more than anyone else could manage. Maybe in part because they might just let it happen.
The "And? What happens next?" ending and the strong hints that the voices will continue to exist and find one another again even after the protagonist and the Princess leave.
Fic set while in the Construct, maybe even during the events of the game, somehow!
The "A New and Unending Dawn" ending (whether everyone hates you or not) and the idea of the voices figuring out existence after that.
Come to that, the strong hints that the voices are actually developing beyond their named traits and becoming their own more rounded individual people: Contrarian in The Stranger version of the "And? What happens next?" ending, Hero protesting being just "a shard of broken glass," Paranoid apologizing for his "fear response" in Razor, all of them wanting to avoid individual death and continue existing...
The idea of the voices surviving even in the new "Your New World" ending, just being separated completely and irreversibly from the new god that is the Long Quiet, and having to deal with this new world now.
The voices somehow clawing themselves back into existence after the "Oblivion" ending...
How Paranoid sometimes seems to be able to get Cold's whole deal, like in the Apotheosis chapter during the tearing sequence.
On the other side of the coin, Cold's apparent desire to feel things sometimes (most notably in both Grey chapters), as well as his surprising moments of feeling and empathy during the Adversary!Fury chapter.
How both of them seem to be able to tell the truth of the Construct/the Long Quiet sometimes!
Mutual fascination with real fondness underneath, even if there's exasperation there too.
INTENSITY!
TBH the idea of either or both of these characters being kind of a mess in any sort of normal life/post-Construct scenario. Cold not having any survival instinct and not protecting himself in fights, going long stretches without eating or sleeping (or preening if they still have feathers) because he finds it boring, having trouble feeling or identifying or expressing his own emotions; Paranoid having Issues With Food and/or all kinds of sleep-related problems, having major trust issues, having hallucinations, overpreening if they still have feathers, his increased snappishness when freaked out... And so on.
That said, character growth, making each other better, protecting each other, and balancing each other out are also loved! As well as Taking Chances and going outside of their comfort zones with each other they might not otherwise!

I love both characters' friendship with Hero; the idea of Cold being friends with Contrarian, Hunted, and Skeptic; and the idea of Paranoid being friends with (post-Apotheosis) Broken, Hunted, and Opportunist.
NAME STUFF. Names in general! Nicknames and pet names if you can make it work for them! None of the voices really refer to one another by name or even by description in canon; do they still think of each other as "Voice of the Cold," or just "the Paranoid," or just "Cold," or something like "the paranoid one" or even (as in canon) things like "the jumpy one"? Do they choose names when out of the Construct, either in general or if they're pretending to be human? How might these two come to refer to one another, think about one another? (I like the nickname Para, tbh, even if Cold doesn't use it himself!)
Trans headcanons; I especially love genderless Cold and trans woman Paranoid, or both of them being transfem, but I'm open to anything with either them! I'm also down for any trans headcanons for any other characters. And of course trans headcanons aren't obligatory!
